Da, a avut loc cea de-a doua ediție a TFW. Cum nu am participat la prima ediție… Nu, nu așa se începe redactarea unui articol pe blog. Se ia din congelator o porție generoasă din înghețata preferată, musai cu vanilie, se încalță niște șosete din lână și abia acum se poate începe.
După cum ziceam sub tăietura de la început, nu am termen de comparație. Mă voi limita la ce mi-a plăcut și ce mi-a plăcut mai puțin la această ediție. Mai exact la prima seară. Din păcate nu am putut ajunge și la cea de-a doua.
Evenimentul, organizat de Rodica Costea, a avut loc într-o locație deosebită din Timișoara, la GALLA și a fost prezentat de Cosmina Păsărin. Coordonatorul întregului show de pe podium a fost Cătălin Botezatu, iar invitatul special a fost Raluca Bădulescu. PR, adică prezentă absolut peste tot, neobosita Adela Berbentia 🙂
Au fost peste 30 de designeri care și-au prezentat viziunile în materie de modă și stil. Colecții de modă feminină, masculină pentru toate gusturile. Idei foarte inspirate în prezentarea colecțiilor.
Am avut parte de un început în forță, prima dintre colecțiile prezentate aparținând lui Cătălin Botezatu. Spectaculoasă, atentă la detalii și plină de culoare și strălucire:
Pentru că “investițiile” mele în materie de fashion sunt într-un procent mai mare în accesorii decât în îmbrăcăminte, colecția mea preferată a fost cea de poșete Anileda. Felicit designerul atât pentru piesele alese cât și pentru modalitatea inedită de a le prezenta. Au fost “înrămate”
Modă masculină : colecția Felix Ramiro Romania prezentată, a fost creată de designerul spaniol special pentru acest eveniment. Piese elegante, outfituri distinse prezentate pe podium și de câțiva jucători ai echipei de fotbal ACS Poli Timișoara. O idee foarte faină de prezentare:
Poți găsi aici mai multe poze cu cele peste 30 de colecții prezentate în ambele seri.
Ce mi-a plăcut mai puțin: faptul că au fost vizibile etichetele de pe încălțămintea unor modele. Da, recunosc că am o obsesie cu chestia asta, dar nu îmi plac, strică mult imaginea de ansamblu. Sunt convinsă că au un scop acolo. Poate-s de securitate sau conțin niște semne legate de organizare, dar precis există soluții pentru a nu mai fi atât de vizibile. Nu ar putea fi plasate in interior?
E singurul aspect care ar trebui îmbunătățit.
În rest, pot spune că am participat la un spectacol de fashion, culoare, eleganță, talent și rafinament. Așa a fost Timișoara Fashion Week ediția cu numărul 2. Cu bune, cu rele… Sunt convinsă că au fost și “rele”, dar o echipa de profesioniști cum a fost cea din spatele acestui eveniment, nu a permis ca invitații să simtă ce nu a fost conform planului.

Cred că articolul meu ar fi trebuit să se intituleze “Cum se poate pune Vestul pe harta modei românești”. Pentru că da, acest eveniment asta a făcut. A fost și motto-ul și scopul eventului. E timpul ca ideile celor care creează fashion românesc în vestul țării, fie ei deja consacrați sau la început de drum, să fie mai mult promovate și nu văd cum altfel decât prin astfel de evenimente.
Să ne vedem cu bine la următoarea ediție!

Yes, the second edition of the TFW ended. Since I did not attend the first edition … No, this is not a proper way to begin writing a blog article. A generous portion of your favorite ice cream is taken from the freezer, it is mandatory to be vanilla ice cream, woolen socks, and only now you can start…
As I said under the strike-through I cannot compare this event to its first edition. So I’ll stay to what I liked more and what was I liked less to the second edition of Timisoara Fashion Week. During the first evening. Unfortunatelly I was not able to join the second evening’s show.
The entire event, organized by Rodica Costea, took place in a lovely location in Timisoara, at GALLA, each collection was introduced by Cosmina Păsărin. Cătălin Botezatu coordinated the artistic part of the show, on the catwalk and Raluca Bădulescu was the special guest. PR, meaning being everywhere, the restless Adela Berbentia 🙂
There were more than 30 fashion designers who shared with us their fashion and style ideas. Women fashion, men fashion collections suitable for all tastes. There were a lot of inspired ideas in bringing the collections on the catwalk.
The very first collection belonged to Cătălin Botezatu: spectacular, paid attention to the smallest details, full of colors and sparkles:
Since my “investments” in fashion are more related to accessories than clothing, my favorite collection was the Anileda bags one. My congratulations to the designer both for the chosen bags and for the way of presenting them: they were “framed”:
Men’s fashion: the collection Felix Ramiro Romania was made by the Spanish designer especially for this event. The elegant outfits were worn on the catwalk by a few ACS Poli Timisoara football players also. And that was a very nice idea.

What I liked less: well, the thing that the tags of some models shoes were very visible. I admit, I am obsessed with this thing, but I simply don’t like them, they quite ruin an outfit. I am sure there is a purpose for they being there. Perhaps they are security tags or they have some info related to organizing but I guess there are solutions for them not being so big and visible. Couldn’t they be in the inner part?
It is the only aspect which needs to be improved.
Excepting this, I can say that the show had plenty of fashion, colors, elegance, style and sophistication. Timisoara Fashion week, the second edition was like this. With its good things and bad things… Because I am sure there were “bad” things also but the backstage professionals, the organizers didn’t let us know what did not work according to the plan.

I guess this post on my blog should have been named “How the West can be set on the Romanian fashion map”. And that’s because this is exactly what this event did. And this was both the motto and the purpose of it. It is time that the ideas of the Romanian fashion designers, already famous or at the beginning of their way in this to be promoted. And I am sure that there is no other way than this type of shows.
